Inter-State Open
Access Projects
HEXA installs and maintains large scale solar and wind farms away from consumer’s site and wheels electricity to consumer’s premises using Central Transmission utility (CTU) and State Transmission Utility (STU). In case of Inter-State Open Access, consumers are located in one Indian state whereas the Renewable Energy Power Project is located in a different Indian state. Open Access regulations are established by the state and central electricity regulatory commissions in India. These regulations govern how the transmission and distribution charges are levied for the transfer of electricity from one state to another. Inter-State Open Access allows consumers to access renewable energy even if they are located in states with limited renewable resources from the Renewable Power projects setup in resource rich states.
